The System of Integrated Management (SIM)

The ZSE Group follows in its activities an important principle of the European policy in the field of environmental protection and occupational health and safety - Prevention is better than cure, and has prioritised a preventive approach to management.

The system of integrated management in Západoslovenská energetika, a.s. and Západoslovenská distribučná, a.s. consists of three management systems:

• Environmental management system according to ISO 14 001,
• Occupational health and safety management systems according to ISO 45 001,
• Energy management system according to ISO 50 001.

In ZSE Energia, a.s. it is:

• Quality management system according to ISO 9 001,
• Environmental management system according to ISO 14 001,
• Occupational health and safety management systems according to ISO 45 001.

Compliance with standards, legislative requirements, other stakeholders´ requirements and energy management is monitored and confirmed annually by an independent external audit.

The ZSE Group demonstrates its efforts in the field of environmental protection, occupational health and safety, and energy saving through activities such as:

• Protection of avifauna,
• Sustainability projects,
• E-mobility projects,
• Energy efficiency projects,
• Safety Management Index,
• Regular monitoring and evaluation of unsafe conditions,
• Campaigns focusing on raising awareness of employees about environmental approach and safety risks.
