Východoslovenská distribučná, a.s. (VSD)

VSD was established by the deed of incorporation dated 14 October 2005 and started its business activities on 1 July 2007 as a wholly owned subsidiary of VSE Holding a.s. As part of the legal unbundling of the vertically integrated company VSEH, VSD took over all assets and liabilities, all rights and obligations related to the distribution activities of the parent company VSEH as of that date.

The company operates as a distribution system operator on the basis of a licence issued by the national regulator (Regulatory Office for Network Industries (RONI)) in the territory of eastern Slovakia.

VSD's fixed assets consist mainly of the distribution system. Equity is mainly represented by share capital and legal reserve fund. Non-current liabilities consist mainly of bank loans and loans from related parties within the ZSE Group.

The main source of revenue and EBITDA is the distribution services provided by the company in Eastern Slovakia. Revenue from distribution services is regulated by Regulatory Office for Network Industries.
